Register now for Men's 3 on 3 Basketball
CONROE, TX - Register now for Men’s 3 on 3 Basketball. The C.K. Ray Recreation Center is offering this six week Men’s 3 on 3 Basketball League, ending with a single elimination tournament the seventh week. First place team T-Shirts shall be awarded. The season runs from July 2 through August 13, 2013. Ages 18 and up are allowed to compete. Registration runs from May 20 through June 24, 2013, with a fee of $65 per 3 man team. Games will be played in the REC Center Gymnasium on Tuesdays from 6:30 - 9:00pm. For more information call the C.K.

As summer begins, The Greater Houston Area is rapidly compiling disturbing statistics. Drowning claims the lives of nearly 3,000 people every year; A 5 year old drowned in apartment pool Mother’s Day weekend in Houston. Children,four years of age and younger, have the highest drowning death rate.

Different Abilities Celebrates Unique Talents, announces fundraiser
It is the philosophy of Different Abilities, Inc. that people with a disability should be able to live, work, and play in their community. That descriptive mission statement is stamped in the hearts of those who work with clients at Different Abilities. Open just a little more than a year, the staff is delighted to work with over 25 clients on a daily basis and grateful for the community support they’ve received. Eagle Scout Project Brings New Archery Range To the Creekside YMCA Outdoor Adventure Center
THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Creekside YMCA Outdoor Adventure Center has a new archery range thanks to local Scout, Christopher Goize. Christopher, a senior at The Woodlands High School, selected the Creekside YMCA for his Eagle Scout Project. Chris has been a Boy Scout since 5th Grade and a resident of The Woodlands for 8 years. “One of my requirements for becoming an Eagle Scout was to plan, prepare and lead a project that would benefit a non-profit organization”, states Goize.
Market Street’s Signature Spring Concert Series Extends Live Performance Dates
THE WOODLANDS, TX – Market Street’s Spring Concert Series, which fills its Central Park with live music from jazz to classic tunes every Thursday at 6 p.m., will extend this season’s series through Thursday, June 27.
