SPRING, Tx (May 11, 2012) – Dr. Dalane Bouillion, Spring ISD associate superintendent for curriculum and instructional services, was awarded the 2012 National Outstanding Women in Curriculum Award from the Research on Women and Education special interest group that is affiliated with the American Educational Research Association. Bouillion was selected for her work with student engagement and her belief in student-centered learning. English Professor Selected for Statewide College-Readiness Test Review Committee

CONROE (May 14, 2012) – Dr. Lana Myers, a professor of English at Lone Star College-Montgomery, has been selected to serve as a subject-matter expert for a Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) test review committee.

Myers will help evaluate the English/Language Arts content for the new Texas Success Initiative (TSI) assessment, a test or series of tests that the THECB plans to implement to ensure single college readiness, developmental education standards, and adult basic education standards across the state.

LSC-Tomball To Hold 3rd Annual GED Graduation

TOMBALL, Texas – The Continuing Education program at Lone Star College-Tomball (LSC-Tomball) will hold its 3rd Annual General Educational Development (GED) Graduation Ceremony on Thursday, May 24 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the LSC-Tomball Performing Arts Center. The center is located at 30555 Tomball Parkway in Tomball.
