Today we spotlight another Home Town Tunes in our special section of THE PAPER for local song writers and musicians. If you would like to be spotlighted, send an email to thepapermagazine@gmail.com .
Our new song is by The Paper Columnist Steve Bussiere and his Canadian friend Cam Stewart titled "Southern Cross".
Cam Stewart and Steve Bussiere first met when they were 10 years of age. They immediately became the best of friends. Cam was an extremely talented musician and Steve was the man with the words. They first started writing songs together in college in the early1970's. Together they moved from Montreal to Toronto where they shared an apartment for a couple of years where they composed more songs than they can remember.
Over the years they have continued to write together, and when Steve moved to Texas, they continued their collaborative effort, despite the distance. This is the first song of many that they wrote from 2,000 miles apart. They hope you will enjoy the song.
