Today we introduce our new section Home Town Tunes to spotlight local song writers and musicians, if you would like to be spotlighted, send an email to thepapermagazine@gmail.com .
Our first spotlight is a new song by The Paper Columnist Steve Bussiere and his Canadian friend Don Graham titled "I do to goodbye".
Don Graham and Steve Bussiere grew up in the same neighborhood on the West Island of Montreal. Don was working hard to become an accomplished musician while Steve was writing lyrics.
Well it turned out to be a good match as they began to collaborate as song writers in the late seventies, an effort that continues to this day.
Though Don still lives in the Montreal area and Steve resides in Texas, they keep in touch through e mails and phone calls. Steve sends Don copies of his lyrics and Don, although a fine lyricist in his own right, sometimes finds himself inspired by Steve's lyrics or that he has a tune that just "fits" with them.
Together, Don and Steve have had several songs published over the years and this is their latest composition.
