CONROE, TX - Spirit of Texas Bank donated a Mazda automobile today in front of Texas Lady Liberty at its Conroe headquarters to God’s Garage, a ministry benefiting single mothers, widows, and the wives of active duty personnel. Former pastor Chris Williams and a host of volunteers opened the auto maintenance facility six months ago in Conroe and have since given away 51 automobiles and repaired over 30 others. They expect to give away over 100 vehicles in 2018. Run strictly on volunteer help, God’s Garage accepts donations on its web site, www.godsgaragecar.com. Dean Bass, CEO of Spirit of Texas Bank, said, “This is one small way that we can help make a real difference in peoples’ lives. It is a privilege, and we’re honored to be a part of what Chris and the rest of the guys are doing at God’s Garage.”
