Miss Tomball, Parade Float Winners Announced

TOMBALL, Texas – The Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce (GTACC) held its annual Miss Tomball Pageant and Tomball Holiday Parade Saturday, naming Kasey Vann Miss Tomball 2018.

“The pageant and parade ran smoothly, and we are beyond thankful for the overwhelming community support,” said Brandy Beyer, vice president of operations, Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce.

“The pageant contestants were all so gracious to work with and the weather could not have been better for the parade down Main Street, which had its largest turn out to date.

In addition to naming the 52nd Miss Tomball, a number of other awards were given:

  • First Runner Up – Olivia Guzman
  • Second Runner Up – Cameron Monique Davis
  • Third Runner Up – Presley Babb
  • Fourth Runner Up – Emma Jo Koch
  • Miss Congeniality – Emma Jo Koch
  • Parade Float Winners:

o Best All Around Float – Harris County Junior Mounted Posse

o Best Church Float – Southwinds Baptist Church

o Best Youth Float – Girl Scouts – Wildflower Community o Best Mounted Unit – Ride with Me

o Best Drill Team – Tomball Memorial High School Cheerleaders

o Best Commercial Float – Phillips Cleaning Service

o Best Miss Tomball Contestant Entry – Olivia Guzman

o Best Civic Float – The Sons of the Republic of Texas

o Best Marching Unit – Willowwood Junior High LOTC

o Best of Show for High School Band – Waltrip High School Band

This year’s parade, marking the 52nd anniversary of the event, featured about 150 parade entries along the two-mile route down Tomball’s Main Street.

This year’s parade Diamond Sponsors were: Bud Light/Silver Eagle Distributors, EnviroCon Termite & Pest, Fred Haas Toyota Country/Fred Haas Nissan, Klein Funeral Homes and Memorial Parks, Tomball Regional Medical Center and Tomball Regional Health Foundation.
