Magnolia ISD All-State Band

Magnolia, Texas (January 22, 2018) Magnolia High School Band is proud to announce sophomore Jenna Stone, clarinet, and junior, Jeffrey Kean, tenor saxophone, have earned membership in the 2018 Texas All-State Band.
 
Over 64,000 students initially enter the All-State competitive process. 860 students are selected to perform with the All-State Concert and Jazz Bands of which 220 are selected to perform with the All-State Orchestras and 616 students are selected to perform with the All-State Choirs.
 
Jenna and Jeffrey will perform with the Texas All-State Band in San Antonio on Saturday, February 17, 2018, in the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center as part of the 2018 Texas Music Educators Association clinic/convention. Over 26,000 people from Texas and across America will attend over 315 workshops,100 performances, and visit over 1,300 exhibit booths at this nation’s largest music educator’s convention.
 
They were chosen for this prestigious honor through a rigorous competitive process held across the state at Region, and Area levels. Jenna and Jeffrey are members of the Magnolia High School band under the direction of Mr. Robert Medina.
